Attachment and Trauma Informed School
As a school we believe that in order for children to learn and succeed we need to understand the child fully and treat each child as an individual so we can make any adaptations to support them. We know that some children may come to school having experienced or experiencing some childhood trauma and this may impact negatively on learning and behaviour.
Rather than asking 'what have you done?' we look at the possible reasons or stressors that may be causing any unwanted behaviour, and what changes we can make in school and home to support the child.
We are all trained in attachment and trauma and are proud to be a trauma informed school and trauma sensitive school.
